v9 schedule, ESP32-S3-BOX-3, and a cool project

This is the copy of the monthly newsletter sent out to our subscribers.

I would like to share some great things with you!

v9 Schedule

I’m happy to share that everything is going according to plan with v9. 😊 Here is our schedule for the last few weeks:

Just to highlight a few key news and features:

If you’re interested in trying out LVGL prior to the official testing phase, you can find in in the master branch on GitHub. For a ready-to-use project take a look at lv_port_pc_eclipse.

ESP32-S3-BOX-3

Guys, I’ve just received my ESP32-S3-BOX-3 and I was shocked. I thought it was just a dev kit with a display, but it’s much more.

Here’s what I found in the initial demo: a well-designed, elegant UI (powered by LVGL 🙂), numerous interesting menus, and the best part: very accurate voice recognition. You can command it to play music or change the color of lamps. It was even able to recognize the English of my 5-year-old child 😄.

So, in summary, this device offers:

All these features are packaged in a new, innovative design. If you’d like to try it out, you can grab one from Espressif’s AliExpress store.

Balanced Robot from 100ask

100ask just shared a cool project on Forum about a balancing robot. It has a really nice LVGL base UI too, running on an  Allwinner R128.

Enjoy! 😊
